Our Story

It all started with a vacation. Our first founder, Brian, was living in Colorado when he took a trip to Mexico that would change his life forever. There, he met the love of his life and discovered a deep appreciation for the rich traditions of Mexican culture. Over the years, he built a strong connection between the two worlds—blending the best of both.

His brother-in-law Eduardo, our second founder, was a dedicated veterinarian from Mexico with a passion for agriculture and sustainability. With his background in science and his understanding of natural resources, he saw the value in high-quality, carefully processed corn husks—an essential ingredient in traditional tamale-making.

Together, Brian and his brother-in-law set out to bring premium corn husks to tamale makers everywhere. From sourcing to processing, they take pride in ensuring every husk is clean, durable, and ready for kitchens that celebrate tradition.

Rooted in family, culture, and craftsmanship, their story is one of passion and authenticity—delivering a product that connects generations through foo

Our Process

From farm to kitchen, every step of our process is carefully managed to ensure the highest quality corn husks.

Step 1

Harvesting

The process begins with carefully selecting the best corn crops. Once the corn reaches maturity, the husks are naturally dried in the fields, allowing them to retain their strength and flexibility.

Step 2

Sorting & Cleaning

After harvesting, the husks are hand-sorted to remove any damaged or unusable pieces. They are then thoroughly by hand cleaned to remove dust, debris, and any impurities.

Step 3

Drying and Curing

The husks are dried out in bundles to preserve their structure while ensuring they are completely moisture-free. This step is crucial for maintaining freshness and preventing mold.

Step 4

Packaging

Once dried, the husks are carefully bundled and packaged, ready to be shipped to kitchens and businesses that celebrate the art of tamale-making.

Step 5

Shipping

Once packed, the corn husks are grouped into bundles and loaded for shipping. So they can then be distributed to business for tamale making!

Each step in our process reflects our commitment to quality and tradition, ensuring that every husk is perfect for wrapping delicious, homemade tamales.
